About the Role
Free2move is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Marketplace team. This role is crucial for optimizing the balance between supply and demand, ensuring optimal car positioning and pricing for every journey. You will work at the center of product strategy, influencing critical business decisions and deploying algorithms that directly govern fleet operations.
Responsibilities
- Enrich machine learning models to dynamically adjust rates across all markets.
- Improve fleet repositioning algorithms to maximize overall rental volume.
- Industrialize ML models from initial R&D through to production monitoring.
- Design scalable data pipelines to power A/B testing and measure algorithm impact.
- Define precise KPIs and build reliable dashboards for real-time visibility.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or equivalent).
- 3+ years of hands-on data science experience solving real-world business challenges.
- Expert Python skills (writing production-level code).
- Experience with live production ML systems is a major plus.
- Strong SQL proficiency (Databricks or equivalent).
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau or equivalent).
- A passion for statistics, effortlessly toggling between quick back-of-the-envelope estimates and deep analytical deep-dives.
- Fluency in English with a proven talent for explaining complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
