About the Role

Goddard Riverside Community Center is seeking Program Aides to support the smooth operation of their Beacon Community Centers. These centers serve youth and adults, offering integrated programming tailored to community needs. Program Aides will assist with office management, data entry, record-keeping, and supporting youth groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage attendance records
• Data entry
• Typing
• Copying
• Manage program/office supplies
• Perform light maintenance tasks including sweeping, mopping, and dusting
• Support all areas of the After School Program
• Escort participants to off-site activities
• Enforce program rules
• Know and enforce all emergency procedures
• Follow all safety guidelines associated with all program areas
• Foster a learning environment that stimulates children’s creative growth and development
• Attend staff training, weekly meetings, and supervision meetings
• Perform other duties as required and assigned by Program Director and AVP
• Demonstrate professionalism and leadership

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must be able to work between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday-Friday for training sessions
• Must have the ability to work collaboratively
• Must have a sense of humor and a passion for youth development
• Must have energy, motivation, and skills needed to work independently
• Must be comfortable engaging youth
• Must be able to pass background check including Fingerprint Screening

Skills

• Familiarity with Social Services setting
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work as a team member
• Microsoft Office knowledge is a plus
• CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus
• Experience or interest in Education/Social Work is a plus
