About the Role

The Campus Director will act as a liaison between CPC and stakeholders, overseeing administrative, programmatic, operational, and financial management of youth development initiatives at New Utrecht High School. This role involves hiring, leading, and supporting program staff, planning and facilitating various workshops, ensuring program compliance, and managing budgets and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between CPC and stakeholders, including funding agencies, school leadership, community members, and community partners.
• Oversee the administrative, programmatic, operational, and financial management of publicly funded youth development initiatives at New Utrecht High School.
• Determine programmatic and administrative priorities for the designated campus site and its relevant programs.
• Assess current efforts and identify areas for growth and improvement.
• Hire, lead, and support a diverse and talented team of program staff.
• Plan and facilitate social-emotional learning, interactive project-based learning, career-readiness, college readiness, and basic life-skills workshops.
• Ensure program compliance with target enrollment numbers, deliverables, and DYCD audits.
• Administer program budget and monitor expenditures.
• Ensure proper reporting and communications with government agencies.
• Comply with DYCD policies and administrative procedures.
• Promote a positive workplace culture.
• Convene regular team meetings and check-ins with school leadership to assess program progress and challenges.
• Assist the Director/Deputy Director of ECS, or school leadership with special projects and other strategic priorities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience with High School youth in an after-school setting.
• At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a childcare program or related field of work.
• Culturally competent professional committed to providing services in a manner that is sensitive to participants’ cultural heritage and traditions, life experiences, sexual orientation and gender identity.
• Strong work ethic and demonstrated passion for working with diverse populations, especially immigrant and low-income communities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of MS office applications and virtual platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and Webex.
• Willingness to travel to worksites via public transportation.

• These workshops include but not limited to Academic tutoring, College and work readiness, Leadership development, Guest Speaker series, mentoring opportunities and recreational activities.
• Career Ready (SYEP) Funded through the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), SYEP Program provides students between the ages of 14 to 21 with project-based learning opportunities and paid, summer work experience for up to six weeks in July and August.
• Youth aged 14-15 are engaged in projects that provide enriching career exploration, emphasize foundational work readiness skills, and help build social emotional learning skills.
• Youth aged 16-21 are placed in entry-level positions across a variety of sectors and industries.
• All participants are provided with workshops on job readiness, career exploration, financial literacy, continuing education and other life skills.
• Work, Learn and Grow Program (WLG): Funded through the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), offers young people ages 16-19 from public schools in New York City an opportunity to strengthen work readiness skills, explore career, receive academic support, including guidance on postsecondary education and potential to earn college credits and paid internships.
