About the Role
We are seeking a product development engineer specializing in lens and mechanical development and design for industrial endoscopes. This role is crucial for advancing our Sim technology to improve development efficiency and ensure the safety and reliability of critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design lenses and mechanical components for industrial endoscopes and their elemental technologies.
- Improve development efficiency through Sim technology promotion.
- Design the housing for industrial endoscopes and develop elemental technologies.
- Translate customer requirements into product specifications in coordination with the marketing department.
- Propose and execute design adjustments and production readiness checks with the manufacturing department.
- Collaborate with optical and electrical engineers on design.
- Design the housing for industrial endoscopes.
- Develop the light source unit equipped with lenses.
- Develop the bending mechanism of the endoscope.
- Conduct thermal design and environmental resistance design (drop impact, waterproof) including MIL and IP testing.
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree.
- Native level Japanese proficiency.
- Experience in endoscope design and development, or similar ultra-small precision equipment development.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into quality function deployment and product specifications for design.
- Mechanical design skills.
- 3D CAD and drafting skills.
- Basic knowledge of four mechanics.
- Basic knowledge of statistics for analyzing evaluation results scientifically and logically.
