About the Role
We are looking for a Social Worker (f/m/d) to join our team at the Willkommensschule in Tempelhof-Schöneberg. This position is part of the school-based youth welfare service, operating under the school secretary model where hours are worked during the school year and school holidays are free.
Responsibilities
- Crisis intervention through individual work with students
- Focus on violence prevention
- Mediation and social learning
- Group work, including specific programs for girls and boys
- Parental engagement and mediation between parents and school
- Internal cooperation with all school stakeholders and collaboration with local projects and institutions
- Public relations
- Documentation
Requirements
- Recognized degree as a social pedagogue, social worker, or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of a language other than German (e.g., Farsi, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian) is desirable
- Experience with school structures is desirable
- Experience working with parents
- Experience working with children with challenging behavior is desirable
- Willingness to engage in networking (internal and external to the school)
