About the Role
AXA PMO is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead a strategic IT program focused on reducing technical debt, deploying global solutions, improving operational stability, and developing Data & AI platform solutions. This role requires a strong leader capable of operating independently in a complex environment, challenging assumptions, and driving accountability across multiple technology teams.
Responsibilities
- Define the program’s strategic goals, key objectives, and KPIs in collaboration with the sponsor and stakeholders.
- Create and manage the program’s 3-year plan, including delivery, benefit generation, and budget plans.
- Monitor and control program delivery, focusing on benefit generation and budget management.
- Identify and manage key delivery risks and issues, escalating to the program sponsor as needed.
- Challenge individual project delivery plans to ensure alignment with program goals.
- Manage key dependencies with other programs and entities.
- Coordinate with Group organization stakeholders to build a comprehensive view of global projects.
- Set up and manage the program’s governance structure.
- Act as the central communication hub for the program, organizing review meetings and status reporting.
- Support project delivery teams in adhering to company project governance and best practices.
Requirements
- Expertise in managing large, complex programs with local and global stakeholders.
- Ability to steer multi-project, multi-tech stack programs.
- Experience in building long-term program plans and project business cases.
- Experience in managing program financials and benefit generation.
- Capacity to understand and articulate the program's contribution to company transformation.
- Capacity to understand and articulate individual projects' contribution to program goals.
- Ability to apply strategic understanding to daily decision-making.
- Good knowledge of IT infrastructure, products, and applications.
- Experience working across multiple technology teams (Infra, cloud, workplace, Middleware etc.).
- Effective executive stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Courage to speak up and challenge the status quo.
- General knowledge/experience of the Insurance Industry.
- Fluent in English.
- Business-level Japanese.
