About the Role
Riverty's customers rely on precise and consistent credit and payment risk decisions. In Risk Decision Workflows, quality is integrated into APIs, decision workflows, mocks, and pipelines. We seek a candidate who combines a tester's judgment with an engineer's delivery habits, capable of writing tests, making services testable, and maintaining CI integrity.
Responsibilities
- Develop software for testing, including automated tests, shared libraries, mocks, and pipeline stages.
- Maintain visibility of the Risk platform's quality for the team and product owner.
- Plan and own test automation for existing and upcoming Risk work, covering unit tests, in-process functional/API tests, workflow/E2E coverage, and performance tests.
- Design and implement tests for complex REST APIs and Zoral Decision Engine (ZDE) workflows.
- Ensure services are testable by developers using tools like
WebApplicationFactory, Testcontainers, PostgreSQL, WireMock, Docker Compose, and seeded test data. - Integrate and maintain automated tests in Azure Pipelines, including shared test templates, coverage, ReportPortal, Allure, and nightly Postman runs.
- Own Xray/Jira traceability by reviewing and implementing test cases in code and mapping reporting to tickets and test plans.
- Utilize and improve the team’s AI-assisted QA workflow, acting as the reviewer.
- Maintain test architecture and team conventions for consistency across repositories.
- Work with mock/stub data providers for functional and performance testing.
- Collaborate with the team on upcoming work, contribute to quality in design conversations, and mentor others on testing approaches and tooling.
- Provide the product owner with a clear view of current quality status and the test plan for upcoming work.

- Comfort reading YAML/JSON configurations and tracing behavior across services.
- Proven delivery of automated suites and shared test libraries or pipeline templates.
- Proficiency in CI/CD, source control, and dependency management within a DevOps-style team.
