About the Role
We're creating a brand new leadership role to accelerate the next phase of growth for AMP Super. As General Manager Business Development, Superannuation, you'll be responsible for leading our national corporate super growth strategy, winning new employer relationships and partnerships, and positioning AMP as the partner of choice for workplace superannuation solutions. This role combines strategic leadership, commercial accountability and market influence. You'll work across AMP's executive leadership teams, industry partners and major employers to drive sustainable growth while delivering outstanding outcomes for members.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute AMP Super's corporate growth strategy, aligned to member, business and brand objectives.
- Lead the acquisition of new corporate superannuation relationships, including large and complex employer mandates.
- Build and enhance strategic partnerships with employers, consultants, advisers, actuaries and industry stakeholders.
- Drive delivery of ambitious member growth, net flow and commercial performance targets.
- Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing national business development team.
- Partner across Product, Marketing, Operations, Investments and Distribution to bring compelling employer and member propositions to market.
- Represent AMP in executive, trustee and industry forums, influencing strategic direction and future opportunities.
- Champion responsible growth, ensuring all activities align with governance, regulatory and trustee obligations.
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading business development, sales or growth functions within superannuation, investments or wealth management.
- A proven track record of securing and managing significant employer relationships and delivering measurable growth outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing performance, profitability and strategic business priorities.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in dynamic and evolving environments.
- Deep understanding of the Australian superannuation and financial services landscape, including regulatory obligations and market dynamics.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence executive leaders, trustees, advisers and external partners.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and delivery.
