About the Role

As a Category Lead for Network Procurement at Rogers, you'll manage and optimize RAN, CORE, and Network construction services. You will shape strategy, build supplier relationships, and ensure the success of network construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a category strategy for RAN, CORE, and Network construction and maintenance services.
  • Identify and manage relationships with key suppliers in the Network services category.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts, terms, and pricing.
  • Analyze industry trends, technological advances, and the competitive landscape.
  • Analyze the total cost of ownership for access network construction and maintenance services.
  • Manage risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for network construction services and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, finance, and legal departments.
  • Champion supplier diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Engineering; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in category management or procurement, with a focus on RAN, CORE, or Network construction services.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of industry-specific regulations and standards.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork and initiative.
  • Proficiency in procurement and spend management tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, iValua).
  • High standard of computer and data manipulation and interpretation skills, particularly in financial and project management applications.
