About the Role

Zebra's AI, SDLC, licensing, and Web Apps teams are seeking a Senior Software Engineer / AI Enterprise Systems Analyst to revolutionize their AI, SDLC, licensing, and Web Apps solution space by building a deeply intelligent, "frictionless" customer experience. This role involves accelerating the software development lifecycle using AI agents, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), developing dynamic Agentic interfaces, and creating intelligent bots for database alignment. You will serve as a core technical leader and primary communicator, bridging the gap between AI capabilities and business strategy, guiding global teams through complex integrations.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, architecture, and development of highly interactive, AI-first frontend systems and custom interfaces using modern frameworks backed by LLM capabilities.
Architect and develop intelligent bots and re-usable AI modules for seamless alignment across complex databases and existing enterprise applications.
Continually analyze market needs to elevate SaaS and enterprise-wide applications, transitioning legacy processes into automated, predictive, and frictionless user journeys.
Act as the technical anchor for an Agile Scrum team, leading architectural design sessions and establishing modern coding standards.
Implement AI-assisted developer workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to multiply team velocity.
Guide, mentor, and elevate mid-level and junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, secure coding practices, and continuous learning.
Serve as the technical translator between engineering and business stakeholders, communicating how modern AI tools can solve business problems.
Collaborate with product managers and customers to define clear use cases, user stories, and technical requirements for new generative AI features.
Provide confident, timely technical leadership during problem resolution and customer escalations.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent of 3+ years of practical experience.
5+ years of experience as a software engineer/developer in an Agile environment, with a proven trajectory into technical leadership and modern application architecture.
1-2 years AI development experience with LLMs, and AI code centric models like Cursor, Claude, GitHub Co-Pilot.
Hands-on experience integrating Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Claude) via REST APIs.
Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) and prompt engineering.
Deep expertise in modern frontend ecosystems, specifically React JS, TypeScript, and modern CSS/HTML, with a focus on building dynamic, state-heavy, responsive web applications.
Strong foundation in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful Services, and MVC architecture.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to actively listen and articulate complex architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience leveraging AI developer tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate coding, debugging, and testing.
Experience building autonomous agents, "Agentic UI," or implementations involving Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
Experience migrating or integrating with legacy Java technologies (JSP, Servlets, Hibernate, JPA) while building net-new modern frontends.
Experience with Cloud frameworks (Amazon Web Services preferred) and secure, automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Maven, SonarQube, Tenable).
Experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases, and an understanding of how to align data structures for AI consumption.
Previous experience transitioning traditional Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into intelligent, AI-driven bot workflows.
