About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager of Product Development to solve critical business problems and deliver value for the future of our business. You will be expected to take on the mission of a product development specialist, depending on your experience and aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Planning and proposing new product development and revisions of existing products.
- Investigating and analyzing competitor products.
- Coordinating, supporting, and adjusting inter-departmental operations related to product development projects.
- Preparing materials for executives regarding new product development.
- Creating an outline and basic documents for new products.
- Negotiating approvals for new products with the Financial Services Agency.
- Handling mortgage-related matters and monitoring new products after launch.
- Managing various product development tasks and serving as the secretariat for the Product Development Committee.
- Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and handling matters with the Life Insurance Association.
Requirements
- Experience in one of the following at a life insurance company:
- Planning and development of insurance products (5+ years of experience).
- Operation, execution, and support of product development projects (3+ projects).
- Preparation of basic documents (3+ instances).
- Experience negotiating with regulatory authorities (experience with foreign currency-denominated or variable life insurance).
