About the Role

As an Intern on the Equities’ Portfolio Solutions Team, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the private equity portfolio within Equities at OTPP by supporting portfolio construction-focused analytics. This role involves delivering and managing analysis and reporting at the portfolio level, providing enhanced decision-making tools and capabilities to the Equities team. You will collaborate closely with supportive professionals, gaining experience in investment analysis, reporting, and valuation within a high-performing private equity investment division.

Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing portfolio monitoring, including core processes for Equities and Portfolio Solutions like the semi-annual valuations process.
  • Assist in managing, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets across reporting platforms to produce actionable insights and maintain data accuracy.
  • Help build new analyses and support data management efforts.
  • Coordinate data requests with deal teams for quarterly portfolio reviews.
  • Compile investment monitoring materials and support the aggregation of investment and portfolio forecasts.
  • Assist in developing recurring and ad-hoc analysis and reports tracking performance metrics for senior leadership.
  • Partner with colleagues across Teachers’ to support Equities, Portfolio Solutions, and broader enterprise-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • Currently studying in a relevant undergraduate program, such as business, accounting, finance or related fields.
  • Strong academic track record.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and data management skills with a knack for performing complex, in-depth analysis and strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of fundamental investment and valuation analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated individual with the dedication to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Must be enrolled in 2nd through 4th year of a relevant undergraduate degree program.
  • Must be enrolled in a co-op program or returning back to studies after the work term is completed.
  • Candidates must be legally entitled to work in the country where this role is located.
