About the Role
This is a newly created Vice President position within Shared Services and Banking Operations, focusing on Treasury & Financing Services. The role involves team management and is based in Tokyo.
Responsibilities
- Develop staff, lead projects, and control resource deployment using management tools like work queues, checklists, depth charts, and calendars.
- Set direction and expectations for teams, defining training plans and facilitating knowledge transfer for team output and development.
- Contribute to the area's business plan, establish risk/contingency plans, and address issues with urgency.
- Build and manage relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contacts.
Requirements
- Strong relationship-building skills, serving as a role model for client service.
- Ability to think commercially and understand the impact of initiatives and risks on the operational budget.
- Experience in managing teams, enhancing control, continuous improvement, and reducing operational risk.
- Act as a culture carrier and role model, representing and leading the Firm's core values to influence and motivate others.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience is generally expected.
