About the Role

CLEAR is seeking a strategic communications leader to drive earned media and bring key partnerships, products, and company moments to market. You will build a proactive communications engine, developing strategy and executing outreach for CLEAR1, CLEAR+, and other significant initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own communications approach and execution for major CLEAR announcements, partnerships, and launches.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with national, business, technology, travel, and trade media.
• Develop proactive stories and opportunities to drive awareness, consideration, and understanding of CLEAR.
• Translate business priorities into compelling narratives and integrated communications plans.
• Lead announcements from concept to execution, including messaging, press materials, pitching, and stakeholder coordination.
• Establish processes, rhythms, and tools to enhance the proactivity and scalability of CLEAR's communications function.
• Identify opportunities to tell a more connected CLEAR story.

Requirements

• 8+ years of communications, public relations, or media relations experience.
• Proven track record of developing and executing high-impact announcements and earned media strategies.
• Exceptional media relations instincts and strong reporter relationships.
• Ability to identify compelling story angles and earn media attention.
• Strategic storytelling skills to translate complex business objectives into effective communications.
• Experience in creating new processes and strategies.
• Comfort with writing press releases, pitching stories, and managing announcement details.
• Cross-functional leadership abilities and excellent judgment.
• Experience managing multiple high-priority workstreams in an evolving environment.
• Experience with and curiosity about using AI to accelerate communications outcomes.
