About the Role

The Application Support Officer provides technical administration and system support for the day-to-day operations of assigned NSWPF organizational Information and Communications Technology (ICT) applications. Within the Messaging Team, you will provide operational and technical support for enterprise messaging and collaboration services, including Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Teams and associated communication platforms. The role is responsible for assisting with incident resolution, service requests, user support, system administration activities, operational monitoring, troubleshooting and the day-to-day support of messaging services. It also assists with authorised information retrieval and mailbox investigations, supporting legal, HR, audit and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical administration and system support for assigned NSWPF organizational ICT applications.
  • Provide operational and technical support for enterprise messaging and collaboration services, including Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Teams and associated communication platforms.
  • Assist with incident resolution, service requests, and user support.
  • Perform system administration activities, operational monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct approved mailbox searches, validate results, and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Maintain auditability and compliance throughout information retrieval processes.
  • Develop expertise across Microsoft messaging technologies, operational support processes, information governance, incident and request management, and enterprise collaboration platforms.

Requirements

  • Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen.
  • Must undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
  • Attach a cover letter (2 pages maximum) and an up-to-date resume.
  • Address each of the two Target Questions (500 words per question).
