About the Role

As our Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the flawless execution of all events by creating memorable experiences for our guests. This position reports to the Director of Event Service and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of colleagues working in the Event Service department.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to provide the best possible service by anticipating their needs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Event host.
• Connect with and identify guest needs by asking the right questions and creating rapport immediately.
• Manage high-energy, fast-paced events operations that provide guests with a dynamic and memorable experience.
• Assist Events Hosts and Guests in finding solutions that best meet their needs while using all available resources.
• Plan, execute, and manage events with minimum supervision.

Requirements

• Experience in a 5-star environment, either a large convention hotel or convention center in a similar role.
• Experience working with weddings and large corporate events.
• Enthusiastic, thoughtful, and a problem solver.
• Outgoing and inclusive personality.
• Hands-on leadership style, with the ability to support and motivate the team.
• Efficient problem-solving skills.
• Full Australian Working Rights.
• Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster.
• A current RSA.
