About the Role
CoStar Group is seeking Field Research Photographers to capture imagery and granular data for their analytics tool, methodically working through designated territories in Newcastle and surrounding areas of the North East.
Responsibilities
- Drive or walk assigned submarkets to collect imagery, information, and updates, including identifying new availability, missing inventory, updating construction status, and adding high-resolution images.
- Cross-reference new leads with current CoStar database information by researching sales and lease comparable data.
- Collect building data and contact information on properties and send to the in-house Research team.
- Photograph and collect attribute data and contact information on commercial properties with for lease and for sale signs within the assigned territory.
- Collect all visible property data fields, including address, building type, number of stories, gross building area, building height, industrial loading information, and retail-specific details.
- Use Adobe software suite to post-process digital images.
- Create footprint and rooftop geocode for each building using a polygon tool in field mapping software.
- Associate assigned tenant locations to polygons and photograph tenant spaces.
- Follow daily Field Research procedures, accurately logging project timings and communicating workflow, strategy, and daily production with the manager.
- Upload collected data and images in a timely manner as instructed by the manager.
- Visually scan commercial properties in assigned submarkets, aiming for a minimum of 16 new potential listings per day.
- Communicate professionally with property managers and customers via phone, email, and in person.
- Abide by CoStar safety standards.
- Maintain company equipment and vehicle (if provided).
- Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.
- Participate in monthly conference calls with sales and research teams.
- Represent Field Research at occasional trade functions.
Requirements
- Application must include a link to a portfolio of Real Estate/Architectural Photography or an upload of the portfolio.
- Qualified Drone pilot with A2 Certificate of Competence or GVC.
- Degree qualified, or with equivalent experience.
- Willingness to travel to work across the country on special field-related projects.
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.
- An existing portfolio of property exterior and interiors imagery.
- Technical proficiency in digital photography and post-processing using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and ability to positively adopt new processes.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts such as commercial real estate terminology and mapping software.
- Ability to work independently and follow CoStar protocols remotely without supervision.
- Comfortable working alone with daily support via phone and email.
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.
- Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.
