About the Role
Artefact is seeking an AI & Data Consulting Manager to autonomously manage projects, develop team members, and grow client relationships while building with AI.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects end to end, including structuring work streams, distributing tasks, setting team OKRs, and providing sponsor visibility.
- Develop robust project plans that anticipate deadlines, delays, and risks, communicating them proactively.
- Structure mission deliverables, including writing C-level executive summaries and building presentation storylines.
- Maintain Artefact's quality standards for all team outputs.
- Ground recommendations in a hands-on understanding of the AI stack.
- Define client needs through interviews and translate them into strategic data and AI recommendations.
- Prototype with AI tools like Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or Codex to test feasibility and demonstrate concepts.
- Shape how clients connect AI to their data, documents, and systems, understanding context engineering (RAG, semantic layers, MCP).
- Maintain specialization in at least one AI platform ecosystem (Google, Anthropic, or OpenAI) and stay current.
- Foster team progress through precise, actionable feedback on analyses, decks, and client interactions.
- Set SMART objectives, conduct evaluations, and maintain team engagement.
- Coach consultants on AI-native working methods, including tool selection and verification.
- Mentor junior and senior team members towards autonomy.
- Maximize client satisfaction and expand client relationships.
- Collaborate with partners on client development strategy, identifying needs and shaping proposals.
- Maximize client NPS through delivery quality and relationship management.
- Contribute to new business proposals and content development, including research and business cases.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of full-time, client-facing work experience in consulting, technology, media, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing projects and small teams autonomously in a client environment.
- Demonstrated AI literacy as a builder, with daily use of AI tools for real work and hands-on prototyping experience with agentic coding tools.
- Comfort in the terminal and with modern AI workflows, with the judgment to verify AI-generated output.
- Working knowledge of at least one AI platform ecosystem (Google, Anthropic, or OpenAI) and core GenAI concepts (RAG, agents, context engineering).
- Excellent communication skills, including C-level-ready writing, presence, structured storytelling, and precise feedback.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a conviction that decisions should be data-driven.
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in business, technology, or a related field.
