About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the operational excellence of complex semiconductor equipment, ensuring customer productivity and performance. You will be on the front lines, understanding customer needs and collaborating with various teams to deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/relocation start-up services for complex semiconductor equipment.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with Lam products to minimize downtime.
• Stay updated on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through continuous learning and training.
• Perform field modifications and updates, maintaining records and coordinating activities.
• Act as a subject matter expert, representing Lam to customers and ensuring exceptional satisfaction.
• Collaborate with customer management and engineering levels, conduct meetings, and lead improvement programs.
• Discuss opportunities and challenges transparently with customers to build trust.
• Provide technical instruction and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Coach and delegate tasks to junior employees to ensure timely project completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years, or equivalent work experience.
• Previous experience in installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Ability to frequently position oneself to perform job tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to travel frequently, domestically and internationally.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including compressed and alternative workweeks, overtime, and on-call duties.
