About the Role

Base is rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries. As we've ramped up in-house manufacturing, we need a cross-functional planner to align core operations. The Master Planner owns the operations side of Base’s plan of record, resolves constraints, and makes tradeoff calls. This role also involves owning production planning, building the master production schedule, and directing the development of in-house planning systems.

Responsibilities

Own the operational plan of record, consolidating material, install, deployments, and manufacturing plans.
Run the recurring planning cadence (S&OP) with planners, reviewing plan vs. actuals, surfacing constraints, and making calls.
Own production scheduling as an individual contributor, building and updating the master production schedule and build plan.
Set factory shift schedules and staffing requirements based on the build plan.
Manage inventory targets across finished goods, work in progress, and raw materials.
Automate reporting to surface blockers and opportunities.
Set requirements and direction for Base’s planning software, working with the software team.
Build custom tools such as dashboards, planning models, and analyses.
Partner with Finance & Business Operations to align operational plans with financial plans and company targets.

Requirements

Ability to influence and align individuals across manufacturing, supply chain, deployments, software, and finance.
Experience owning a master production schedule, master planning function, or S&OP process in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Experience running MRP, capacity planning, and production activity control.
Excellent analytical skills, including building models from a blank page and working with large datasets.
Experience writing software requirements and collaborating with engineers.
Priorities shift and evolve quickly; role may expand or change based on business needs.
