About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own financial and inventory planning across Wholesale and DTC, translating company targets into merchandise plans and driving inventory deployment. This is a build role where you will establish the planning function and partner daily with Finance, Merchandising, Sales, and channel leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop the 12-month sales, margin, and inventory plan, reconciling top-down targets with bottom-up forecasts, including monthly and weekly reforecasts against trend.
- Manage seasonal OTB across both channels, overseeing WOS, turn, ATS, and receipt flow against investment targets.
- Collaborate with Merchandising on seasonal planning, including investment levels, assortment architecture, and SKU depth/breadth, and conduct post-season hindsight on sell-through, margin, and forecast accuracy.
- Translate demand signals and in-season performance from Wholesale and DTC leaders into inventory plans, allocations, and replenishment strategies.
- Provide early identification of inventory risks (excess, aged, shortages, sell-off) and propose resolutions.
- Perform variance analysis and gross margin adjustments (transfers, RTVs, shrink, promotions, discounts), presenting clear risks, opportunities, and recommendations to leadership.
Requirements
- 7+ years in merchandise or financial planning at a fashion or apparel brand with both wholesale and DTC exposure.
- Proficiency in retail math, forecasting, OTB, WOS, and turn.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Shopify, SkyPad, and Power BI.
