About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to act as a Senior Manager in charge within our Financial Services group, overseeing complex securitisation engagements for a range of clients. You will set team direction, provide training, manage client relations, and contribute to the growth of our Securitisation and Mortgage Advisory team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the completion of complex securitisation engagements.
- Set team direction and provide training on technical issues.
- Manage client relations and assist with presentations.
- Manage engagement economics and support marketing initiatives.
- Promote efficient operations and maintain quality through methodology development.
- Play a key role in helping clients unlock the value of their loan receivable portfolios.
- Provide specialist support on complex regulatory matters under the National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) Act.
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams on various engagements, including securitisation transactions, M&A due diligence, and advisory work.
- Oversee multiple, complex regulatory and securitisation engagements and own key client relationships.
- Shape engagement strategy and scope, provide insights to executives and boards, and drive solutions.
- Lead practice and market development activities, including identifying new opportunities and developing service offerings.
- Mentor emerging leaders to build a high-performing Securitisation and Mortgage Advisory team.
- Contribute and lead cross-business unit opportunities and relationships.
- Drive team performance through coaching and leveraging team members' strengths.
- Incorporate securitisation market trends and regulatory developments into client engagements and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor or equivalent degree in accounting, finance or a related area.
- At least 7 years of experience in audit, finance, compliance, project management, credit, lending operations, securitisation or a related field.
- Experience in credit products and services across various asset types including residential mortgages, small and medium enterprises loans, commercial and equipment finance.
- Deep knowledge of securitisation funding structures with ability to understand detailed cashflow modelling, asset and liability analysis, portfolio stratification, and scenario testing.
- Understanding of loan origination, credit assessment and servicing gained from experience working in or alongside the banking or non-bank lending industry.
- Experienced in project management, including working with various internal and external stakeholders, and running multiple projects simultaneously including managing the financial impacts of such projects.
- Interest in building relationships in market and able to confidently communicate with senior external stakeholders.
- Experience in financial services regulation, ideally gained from an advisory, legal, or regulatory background.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within a fast-paced client service environment.
- Strong interest in working in a multi-cultural team, cross-functional creative collaboration and building long-lasting relationships and personal brand in the industry.
