About the Role
Oversee all accounting and financial operations for the Austin Country Club, playing a vital role in maintaining the organization's financial health.
Responsibilities
- Supervise accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist the CFO with budget management, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting, and internal control.
- Develop and implement policies to control and coordinate accounting, auditing, budgets, taxes, and related activities.
- Establish procedures to streamline financial processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Evaluate operational results and identify areas for increased profitability.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders as the liaison to the finance committee.
- Hire and supervise accounting staff to ensure smooth department functioning.
Requirements
- Background in hospitality accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in a related area.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills.
- 2+ years of prior experience in a club environment or hospitality-related industry in accounting or finance.
- Supervisory experience.
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a private club (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (preferred).
- Proficiency in Jonas or related software (preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred).
- Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) (preferred).
