About the Role
Turtle in New York is seeking a Lighting Project Manager in Manhattan, NY, to coordinate all aspects of lighting projects from order entry to closeout and manage customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the complete lifecycle of lighting projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to specifications.
- Serves as the central hub of communication between clients, vendors, and electrical contractors, managing technical details, procurement, and site logistics.
- Maintains schedules with weekly updates.
- Oversees multiple projects.
- Creates submittal packages for approval.
- Tracks shipments.
- Schedules deliveries.
- Works in a team environment internally and with customers.
- Handles project billing.
- Generates and maintains change orders.
- Seeks opportunities to increase sales/margin.
- Organizes and manages documents.
- Utilizes Excel proficiently.
Requirements
- Significant Lighting Project Management experience required.
- Experience with MS Office and Outlook required.
- A blend of technical expertise in lighting systems (LED, controls) and project management proficiency (scheduling, budgeting).
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, contractors, etc.
