About the Role
Rippling is seeking a Head of Corporate Development & Investor Relations to drive business growth through M&A and lead investor relations. This role involves working directly with leadership on strategic initiatives, deal execution, and managing investor communications. The position offers significant responsibility and growth opportunities within a rapidly scaling company.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end M&A pipeline, including market mapping, thesis development, target sourcing, and management engagement.
- Build strategic cases for the CEO, CFO, and Board, driving the M&A process from initial contact to deal closure.
- Develop comprehensive financial analyses, including DCF, comparable transactions, build vs. buy scenarios, and pro forma impact modeling.
- Advise the CEO, CFO, and Board on strategic decisions using financial modeling and analysis.
- Manage structured diligence processes across product, engineering, legal, finance, HR, and customer channels.
- Coordinate internal workstreams and conduct external research to validate strategic and commercial theses.
- Draft and negotiate term sheets and LOIs, owning key commercial terms in coordination with Legal.
- Build post-close integration frameworks to ensure realized value from deals.
- Partner with senior executives to execute future private fundraising rounds, secondary liquidity transactions, and long-term IPO planning.
- Prepare high-impact materials and performance analysis for Board meetings, investor presentations, and shareholder discussions.
- Drive regular investor communications, updates, and messaging to convey Rippling’s business model, AI strategy, and growth trajectory.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
- 8-10+ years of experience in Corporate Development, Investor Relations, and/or Corporate Finance.
- Prior PE investing experience is ideal.
- Leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to own a deal process end-to-end (from sourcing, thesis development, to close).
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter with excellent time management, project management, finance, and strategy skills.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience working with senior leadership.
- Organized, attentive to detail, and intellectually curious.
