About the Role

Fitch’s North American Corporates Group is seeking a Senior Analyst to cover the Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sector. This role offers an opportunity to be a lead coverage analyst at a global rating agency within a team-oriented work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing credit quality of companies in the Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sectors
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models
  • Engage with industry management teams to gain insights and enhance analysis
  • Present analysis of companies to internal credit rating committees and participate in the evaluation of other credits within Corporates, as well as other related credit groups
  • Communicate rating rationale to external audiences (primarily institutional investors, sell-side analysts and media) in meetings, conference calls, press releases and written research reports
  • Contribute to the writing of timely and effective research on topical issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred
  • 3-5+ years relevant experience depending on the title
  • Some coverage or knowledge of the Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals sector a plus
  • Capital markets and/or credit analysis experience a plus
  • Expertise in Excel and Word
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change and work in a team-oriented environment
