About the Role

This internship offers a Winter term position from January to April 2027 for undergraduate students returning to school. The role is within Portfolio Ops & Analytics, supporting investment management front office and overseeing day-to-day administration of investment funds. It involves liaising with various departments to assist operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Evolve and advance the Product Event roster to streamline fund event execution.
  • Analyze fund reconciliation data to detect process gaps and identify root causes of errors.
  • Document new processes and procedures for the Fund Services Policy and Procedure Library.
  • Review business processes to identify improvement opportunities, including leveraging AI.
  • Complete ad hoc research and operational analysis requests from internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of Funds’ Financial Statements and Tax Returns.
  • Provide support in resolving fund accounting-related errors/issues with the external vendor.

Requirements

  • Registered students returning to school in 2027 in a related field (BCom, BA, BSc, etc.).
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, judgment & decision-making skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate and prioritize time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Capable of applying sound judgment in constructing analysis and formulating recommendations.
  • Resourceful and creative in solving new/non-recurring problems through research and well-supported analysis and business acumen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically SharePoint and Excel.
  • Familiar with Word and Outlook.
