About the Role

The foundry customer engineer will manage the key customer 14nm FinFET production, acting as the account liaison and leading cross-functional teams to achieve NPI and production milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Resides in Samsung Austin Fab to manage 14nm from NPI to production with customer and Fab team.
  • Partners with engineering and business groups to ensure new product introduction (NPI) activities are meeting customer schedule and technical requirements.
  • Stays on top of NPI progress and manages the communication with customer on the status of NPIs and logistics.
  • Manages foundry process control and process change documents.
  • Works with customer and factory in supporting production ramp, yield, and quality improvement.
  • Monitors factory performance on key customer indicators and initiates corrective action programs as needed with factor counterparts.
  • Contributes to the foundry engineering services and systems improvement.
  • Manages customer technical meetings and internal meetings.
  • Occasional travel to enhance internal or external communication.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Semiconductor operations, packaging and supply chain management highly preferred.
  • Attention to details and strong customer communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor process and packaging & testing technologies is highly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and negotiating skills are preferred to resolve operational issues with customers.
  • International Asia-Pacific experience preferred.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel etc.
  • Previous work experience with major semiconductor foundry or Integrated Device Manufacturer companies preferred.
  • Previous project management experiences are preferred.
