About the Role

Lead international tax planning for GE Vernova Financial Services' multi-jurisdictional investment vehicles, joint ventures, and project and corporate finance structures. Optimize tax attributes of potential investments and drive tax initiatives to minimize exposure and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tax support and structural planning for international and U.S. transactions, ensuring proper application of tax principles efficiently.
  • Manage mergers, acquisitions, and disposition transactions, including structuring, document review, and tax due diligence to maximize shareholder value.
  • Support deal models by identifying, analyzing, and assessing tax risks and opportunities.
  • Oversee all tax aspects in transactional agreements, communications, and other documents related to investments, restructuring, and dispositions.
  • Collaborate with other GE Vernova tax colleagues on cross-business transactions and projects.
  • Assist treasury and finance teams with transfer pricing, withholding tax, and repatriation planning for international project investments.
  • Ensure appropriate financial and tax reporting by working with cross-functional teams, monitoring the impact of evolving international tax frameworks on investment structures.
  • Supervise external tax consultants and advisors while independently driving initiatives and execution.

Requirements

  • JD or CPA with at least 8 years of tax experience in a multinational company and/or Big 4 accounting firm, focused on US corporate and international tax planning.
  • Experience in project finance, structured transactions, financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and valuation.
  • Proficiency with U.S. tax law, tax planning strategies, restructuring transactions, mergers and acquisitions, EU and OECD tax initiatives (Pillar 2, GILTI, Subpart F), partnership taxation, tax credits.
  • Experience reviewing Excel deal models and researching/writing legal and tax memoranda.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment, including with outside advisors.

  • Geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
