About the Role

Assemble electronic components, printed circuit boards, subassemblies, and finished products using schematics, assembly documents, and procedures. Operate and maintain select solder machines and various pieces of automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand assembly and schematic drawings, work orders, test procedures, wiring diagrams, and work orders.
• Learn to operate and maintain the select solder machine and various automated insertion machines, along with other electronic assembly equipment.
• Perform mechanical, optical, and electrical operations.
• Use a wide range of hand and power tools, electrical/mechanical fixtures and gauges, measuring devices such as micrometers, meters, drills, jigs, soldering irons, and any other item required to assemble products and operate machines.
• Inspect and/or test own work and the work of others.
• Solder components on a printed circuit board after training.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Follow good housekeeping practices including 5S/ESD protection.
• Strive to meet and exceed inventory accuracy requirements.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Strive to meet on-time delivery requirements.
• Willing to work overtime as needed to meet schedules.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a related Manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly, schematic drawings, and work instructions.
• Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
