About the Role

Applied Industrial Tech-Cangro, a UL certified Panel Shop, has an opening for a Senior Control System Engineer to develop and drive sales, manage the in-house Control Panel Shop, provide field support, and instruct technicians in control panel fabrication and component procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Sales staff to develop and drive sales to the Panel Shop.
  • Managing our in-house Control Panel Shop.
  • Providing field support over the phone and occasionally out in field.
  • Instructing and working with our Panel Shop Technicians in the fabrication of our control panels.
  • Procuring all the components used in the Panel Shop.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in the Design and Fabrication of Industrial Control Panels.
  • Equivalent to B.S. in Engineering or comparable design experience.
  • Ability to design and draft small control systems using AutoCAD Electrical including Schematics, Panel Layouts, Bill of Materials, and Special Details.
  • Ability to specify all components of the control panel.
  • Proficiency in programming PLCs and HMIs.
  • Knowledge of VFD programming and testing is required.
  • Experience in factory testing of controls and control panels.
  • Familiarity with the UL508A standard for Control Panels.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus, but not required.
  • Applied will provide software and office systems instruction.
