About the Role

FT Cardiac Anesthesiologist opportunity to support a busy hospital-based practice in White Plains, NY. The practice provides anesthesia services for a diverse case mix at White Plains Hospital and five Ambulatory Surgery Centers in the area. Recent enhancements include a Night Float Anesthesiologist for Labor and Delivery as well as a low frequency of overnight call. The group is composed of 45 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs, covering 41 anesthetizing locations daily in a care team model.

Responsibilities

Mix of inpatient and outpatient cases in state-of-the-art operating rooms.
Variety of cases including general, OB, regional, vascular, cardiac, pediatrics, neuro and ortho (no transplant or trauma cases).
Cardiac and young pediatrics cases covered by specialized teams.
Opportunity to expand regional anesthesia skills.
Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department.
Responsible for the medical management of patients during procedures.
Perform pre-anesthesia assessment.
Obtain and/or verify patient consent.
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient.
Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
Monitor the patient's physiological condition.
Perform clinical interventions as needed.

Requirements

M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
ECFMG and FLEX.
Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
Currently licensed as a physician.
