About the Role

KLA is seeking individuals with military experience to apply their skills in the semiconductor industry, contributing to the development of technology for various applications. This role involves customer service, troubleshooting, and repairing complex equipment at customer sites, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational quality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service support for advanced KLA products and act as the primary contact for service-related issues.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical equipment problems at customer sites.
  • Assist customers with all system issues and ensure equipment enhances customer production.
  • Maintain and execute Preventive Maintenance schedules on KLA tools at customer sites.
  • Repair and update equipment at customer sites, addressing system-level problems.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions, potentially recommending fab shutdowns.
  • Prepare Field Service Reports and document recurring problems using the CRM database.
  • Cross-train and assist other field service engineers.
  • Assist Tech Support with onsite system escalations.
  • Provide first-level Applications support.
  • Guide Installation Engineers on equipment installations and dismantling.
  • Provide guidance to less senior CSEs.
  • Manage individual inventory accounts.
  • Assist in preparing customer quotes for labor, travel, and parts.
  • Conduct customer orientation and technical training on equipment maintenance and user applications.
  • Contribute to knowledge capture, reuse, collaboration, and improvement.
  • Complete ongoing technical training to gain thorough knowledge of company products, diagnostic techniques, and service aids.
  • Cross-train on multiple products.
  • Attain and maintain at least Certification Level 3 or PM training.
  • Attain and maintain basic proficiency in systems level repair of a product within a family.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years.
  • Understanding of and ability to troubleshoot problems in software and electronics, mechanical, electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems.
  • Understanding of computer theory, various operating systems and applicable operating system software knowledge, and networking in a Windows, Unix or Novell environment.
  • Good interpersonal/communication skills in understanding customer needs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and stringent timelines.
