About the Role

Scott & Associates, PC is seeking a Post Judgment Legal Assistant to join their Rochester, NY-based team. This role is crucial for providing trusted and comprehensive legal solutions for financial institutions nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Review post-judgment files to determine appropriate enforcement action.
  • Confirm consumer asset/income information before enforcement.
  • Generate enforcement documents per firm policies and procedures.
  • Submit enforcement documents to the court, marshal, or sheriff.
  • Supervise and track enforcement processes and documents.
  • Enter and post all enforcement data into the firm’s case management system.
  • Communicate with enforcement officers, courts, banks, employers, attorneys, and consumers.
  • Import all enforcement imaging into the firm’s case management system.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience working in a legal office or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Paralegal Certification or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to work with databases and on-line technological platforms.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment.
  • Knowledge of legal principles and legal terminology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible.
  • Ability to handle conflicting time demands and focus on task completion with little direction.
  • Proficient command of the English language in both oral and written format.
  • Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
