About the Role
This role is part of the Business Development Drivers Team, providing strategic and operational support to drive coordinated BD and Marketing activity, turning priorities into action. The position focuses on strengthening campaign execution, account planning, opportunity development, meeting preparation, follow-up, and pipeline discipline for more focused and consistent BD efforts.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen the firm’s business development "ground game" by implementing structured processes for meeting preparation, opportunity development, and consistent pipeline management.
- Oversee the development of high-impact briefing materials and meeting prep strategies.
- Manage lead flow and action items in partnership with Marketing, ensuring campaign engagement is converted into qualified opportunities.
- Manage the team that aligns Marketing, BD leaders, and Partners, ensuring clear handoffs and internal coordination.
- Set best practices for translating discussions and meetings into actionable plans, ensuring opportunities move through the pipeline via follow-up and accountability.
- Oversee the tracking of activity, opportunity status, and account actions for senior leadership reviews.
- Continuously refine the firm's approach to BD support, creating scalable systems that increase efficiency.
- Serve as direct supervisor and mentor to direct reports.
- Provide day-to-day supervision of direct reports, ensure compliance with work hours and firm policies.
- Manage staffing coverage, review and process time logs/time off requests.
- Support business professional development and continued educational opportunities.
- Participate in hiring, performance appraisals, counseling, termination and other employee lifecycle events in collaboration with supervisor and HR.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications after orientation.
- Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required.
- Ability to travel, as required.
- 5+ years applicable experience in marketing or business development.
- Demonstrated business development skills, including pipeline management and campaign execution.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise CRM ecosystems, such as Salesforce.
