About the Role

The Associate Director of the Anti-Violence Program is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing the strategic vision, goals, and objectives for services within Sakhi’s Anti-Violence Program (AVP). This role serves as a thought partner to the Director of Programs, supporting the growth and evolution of Sakhi's programmatic offerings, with a focus on creating a healing space for survivors of gender-based violence and exploring alternative forms of healing and justice.

Responsibilities

Develop a vision for Sakhi’s Anti-Violence Program that is culturally sensitive, holistic, and rooted in trauma-informed care principles.
Plan and coordinate strategies to implement the program vision, focusing on survivor engagement and non-carceral healing and justice practices.
Develop systems and processes to ensure AVP initiatives partner effectively with other program offerings.
Collaborate with Sakhi team members to ensure holistic client service delivery.
Liaise with the Sakhi Leadership Team for organizational decision-making.
Develop and monitor all program policies and procedures.
Ensure routine and comprehensive program evaluation.
Develop systems for collecting survivor-centered data to support program planning and grant reporting.
Organize, grow, and nurture workplace and direct service contacts, constituents, and collaborators to expand Sakhi's reach and impact.
Identify opportunities for program growth, including support groups, information sessions, and supplemental survivor support.
Represent Sakhi’s Anti-Violence work at conferences and events.
Collaborate with Sakhi program teams to create survivor-centered events and programs.
Provide supervision, guidance, and mentoring to the AVP and Helpline team, including Advocates, Managers, and Interns.
Provide support in task and/or clinical supervision of interns and volunteers.
Maintain records of all survivor-related work through efficient data collection and note-taking.
Produce accurate reports and draft narratives for grant reporting.
Work closely with the Development Team to create work plans, attend site visits, and offer pertinent information.

Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work, Program or Policy Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Fluency in one or more South Asian languages, especially Hindi, Urdu, and/or Bengali.
5-7 years of experience in direct social service with knowledge of trauma and gender-based violence.
4 years of program experience within direct services and/or the social services field.
Experience working in a direct service role is preferred.
Experience supervising staff, preferably within a social services environment.
Experience managing grant-funded programs, especially federally-funded programs, is strongly preferred.
Ability to work well across diverse teams.
Excellent research and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make presentations.
Acute attention to detail with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and act decisively.
Competency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite is required.
