About the Role

As a Senior Developer, you will be working in a development and support capacity on our core mainframe cards and transactions system. The core application is a large, sophisticated mainframe-based system which connects clients to their banking products and services. This 24/7 application supports critical delivery channels such as Online Banking, POS, ATM and others.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, support and evolve software to deliver banking services.
  • Lead conversion, attestation and audit initiatives.
  • Manage individual priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
  • Assess and analyze business and technical requirements in order to provide estimates and establish plans and timelines.
  • Create, update and contribute to critical documentation relevant to the projects.
  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and various IT partners.
  • Available for after-hours production support when needed (rare).

Requirements

  • Completion of a post-secondary education.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong background in software Maintenance especially mainframe.
  • Expertise in COBOL, JCL, IMS (DB/Online/Batch), DB2, MQSeries, Git/Endevor and Zeke.
  • Understanding/usage of z/OS Connect, IDz, zUnit and test automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD mainframe pipeline.
  • Familiarity with Java Cloud development.
