About the Role
CBX Solutions is seeking an Aerial Lineman to join their Outside Plant team. This role involves working with fiber optic and copper cable systems in various applications, requiring planning, installation, repair, and testing.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to plan installations as required
- Install and repair fiber optic and copper cable in a variety of environments
- Climb up to 50 feet
- Experienced in bucket truck operation
- Experienced in new cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, cable hanging, lashing, make readies, and ‘figure eighting’
- Record and document testing per customer specifications
- Perform daily duties in a safe manner
- Consistently maintain a professional working attitude with co-workers and customers
- Further industry knowledge on an ongoing basis
- Uphold quality workmanship surpassing industry standards
Requirements
- Ability to read prints and other engineering documentation
- 2 years of relevant experience in the field
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Fiber optic and copper cable industry construction, maintenance, and testing experience
- Reliable transportation
- Have and maintain an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work night/weekends as needed
- Willingness to work outdoors during extreme heat/cold
