About the Role
Health Center Inc. is seeking a Clinical Solutions Engineer to join their healthcare IT team. This role involves developing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting Cerner applications in clinical and operational settings, working closely with stakeholders to enhance system functionality.
Responsibilities
- Develop, build, maintain, and troubleshoot HL7, FHIR, and other clinical interfaces and integrations.
- Develop and maintain connections and processes for exchanging CCD/CCDA and other clinical data with Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIOs), as required by SHIN-NY.
- Develop and maintain other Health Information Exchange (HIE) connections (e.g., Commonwell/CareQuality).
- Provide application and technical support for Cerner Millenium solutions, including PowerChart, RadNet, Orders Management, Endoscopy, and other clinical modules.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot CCL (Cerner Command Language) reports, scripts, and queries.
- Configure, build, and support clinical workflows, rules, alerts, and documentation templates.
- Troubleshoot complex application and system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions.
- Create and maintain technical and application documentation, including system configurations, workflows, interfaces, and support procedures.
- Participate in system upgrades, patches, testing, and release activities, including regression testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with clinicians, operational stakeholders, and end users to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and deliver effective technical solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum four (4) years of IT experience in a complex health care environment, preferably in ambulatory care.
- IT related experience that demonstrates a thorough understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run clinical and business systems.
