About the Role

Hygiena provides rapid microbiology diagnostic tests and solutions for mission-critical, time-sensitive processes globally, with a core focus on food safety. We are seeking a Front End Developer to create polished, intuitive, visually consistent, performant, and accessible user interfaces across our software platforms using Angular and Nuxt / Vue.js. You will own the user-facing experience, collaborating with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to translate Figma designs into robust production interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, test, and optimize front-end applications and features using Angular (TypeScript) and Nuxt / Vue.js, adhering to modern component-based architecture and engineering best practices.
  • Translate Figma UX/UI specifications into responsive, accessible interfaces with exceptional visual fidelity.
  • Build and maintain reusable component libraries and design system standards, maintaining strict attention to typography, spacing, alignment, color, visual hierarchy, and interaction states.
  • Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and back-end services built on .NET / C#, handling complex data validation, loading/error states, and evolving API contracts.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives) and manage work items within Azure DevOps.
  • Author clean, modular, maintainable, and well-tested code; lead and participate in peer code reviews to uphold high engineering standards.
  • Proactively identify and resolve UI performance bottlenecks, cross-browser compatibility issues, and accessibility gaps (WCAG compliance).
  • Ensure adherence to all company safety standards, organizational policies, training programs, and data security mandates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2–4+ years of professional front-end engineering experience delivering production web applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript, including modern patterns such as components, services, routing, forms, Signals, and RxJS.
  • Advanced proficiency with HTML5, CSS3 / SCSS, responsive design, and component-based UI architecture.
  • Practical experience with reactive programming and modern front-end state management patterns (e.g., NgRx, Pinia, or equivalent).
  • Proven track record of integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and focus management).
  • Proficiency with Git-based workflows and familiarity with Azure DevOps for work tracking and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience developing with Vue.js and/or Nuxt.
  • Proven ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate production code while contributing to shared design systems.
  • Experience writing front-end automated test suites (unit, component, integration, or end-to-end testing frameworks).
  • A portfolio, GitHub repository, live app links, or visual examples showcasing high-quality production UI work and meticulous attention to visual detail.

Skills

  • Comfortable with interacting and working with all levels of customers, both internal and external; good interpersonal skills, team motivation and outgoing personality
  • Excellent adaptability in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks and projects
  • Ability to speak and write clearly and accurately
