About the Role

The Enterprise Principal Architect defines the target vision for the Information System, ensures its overall consistency, and guides strategic decisions to support business objectives. The role ensures alignment between business strategy, enterprise architecture, technology roadmaps, governance frameworks, and execution capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Define the enterprise architecture vision and target state by developing principles, maps, capabilities, and evolution zones for the IS to make the transformation trajectory clear and sustainable.
  • Ensure the overall consistency of the information system by linking business, application, data, and technology architectures, and by ensuring the performance, security, and robustness of critical architectures.
  • Structure the target trajectory and its transitions by identifying areas of complexity, redundancy, fragility, and urbanization debt, and by formulating recommendations to reduce them.
  • Lead transverse architecture governance by facilitating dedicated forums, evaluating initiative alignment with the IS target, and formalizing standards, waivers, arbitrations, and decisions.
  • Inform strategic decisions and investments by supporting major programs, portfolio arbitrations, and transformation prioritization based on business objectives, costs, risks, and dependencies.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree (Bac+5) and at least twelve years of experience in information system architecture or transformation, at a principal or expert level.
  • In-depth expertise in enterprise architecture and urbanization, including mapping, standards, and the ability to link architecture to the operational model and business needs.
  • Solid understanding of application architectures, integration, data, security, and cloud within a high-throughput transactional information system context, with the ability to secure critical architectures.
  • Global understanding of transformation challenges, including business vision, costs, risks, and dependencies, ideally developed within large IT departments, modernization trajectories, or complex portfolios.
  • Executive credibility and transverse leadership to influence, arbitrate, and unite stakeholders in a complex environment, through listening, conviction, delivery-oriented pragmatism, and multi-level communication.
  • Strong ability to simplify and synthesize, along with a sense of compromise to make trajectories, decisions, and risks accessible and arbitrable.
  • Proficiency in English is required for this international and regulated environment.
