About the Role
Body Techniques is seeking a skilled and service-oriented Massage Therapist to join our wellness team at Google's Austin campus as an Independent Contractor. As a trusted partner in Google's employee wellness initiatives, you will help create opportunities for employees to recharge, reduce stress, and support their overall well-being by providing high-quality massage services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized massage sessions tailored to individual client needs and preferences
- Create a comfortable, professional, and supportive experience for Google employees
- Utilize sound clinical judgment to recommend appropriate treatment approaches
- Maintain treatment areas, equipment, linens, and supplies in excellent condition
- Represent both Body Techniques and Google with professionalism and integrity
- Consistently arrive prepared and on time for scheduled shifts
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and program coordinators
- Demonstrate initiative and independently resolve day-to-day challenges
- Follow all site-specific procedures and wellness program guidelines
- Participate in Google Meet video calls and messaging platforms
- Monitor and respond to email communications promptly
- Manage appointments through Google's scheduling platform
- Use the Body Techniques mobile application to complete service records and approve invoices
Requirements
- Current massage therapy license in good standing as required by Texas State
- Active professional liability insurance
- Minimum of three years of hands-on massage therapy experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable using technology and web-based systems in a professional setting
- Reliable, organized, and responsive to communication
- Prenatal massage certification (24+ hours of continuing education)
- Previous experience providing services in a corporate wellness environment
- Experience working in chiropractic, medical, or spa settings
- Familiarity with both table and chair massage techniques
