About the Role
We are seeking an experienced electrical service technician to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and wiring systems on customer projects in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and wiring systems.
- Work in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical service issues.
- Perform electrical installations, including panels, circuit breakers, conduit, wiring, fixtures, and new services.
- Test and monitor electrical equipment for hazards, adjustment, or replacement.
- Work with industrial controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers.
- Read blueprints, electrical drawings, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Plan work and guide helpers, apprentices, and journey-workers.
- Work safely from ladders and in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.
- Lift and move up to 80 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of job-related experience.
- Reliable transportation and a valid New York State driver’s license free from major infractions.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and safe work practices.
- Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Computer and tablet proficiency, including word processing, data entry, and routine reports.
- Ability to travel up to two hours from home.
- Ability to work with an apprentice.
