About the Role

The Facilities Technician Specialist -- HVAC is the expert technician responsible for the repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment in assigned clubs. This includes preventative maintenance, repairs, training other technicians, and managing vendor partnerships to ensure all HVAC equipment is fully operational.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper operation of HVAC in all club areas.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace all serviceable components of the HVAC system.
  • Monitor Energy Management Systems (EMS) and work with vendors on issues.
  • Execute and monitor the implementation of the Corporate HVAC Strategy.
  • Regularly inspect and verify the operation and safety of HVAC components.
  • Collaborate with General Managers and Facilities Technicians on maintenance needs and repairs.
  • Enter HVAC issues into the Work Order System.
  • Perform OSHA safety checks and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) as directed.
  • Submit completed PM and Service reports.
  • Facilitate and coordinate district-level special projects.
  • Provide ongoing HVAC technical support for other Facilities Technicians.
  • Respond to emergencies as directed.
  • Manage scheduling if priorities conflict.
  • Partner with and hold HVAC vendors accountable for project outcomes.
  • Ensure proper scheduling for adequate maintenance coverage.

Requirements

  • Advanced troubleshooting and repair abilities of various HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and understand HVAC related blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of refrigerants and ability to analyze internal system pressure.
  • Knowledge of High Voltage systems, AC/DC circuits.
  • Operating knowledge of basic hand tools and specialized HVAC tools.
  • Operating knowledge of refrigerant recovery equipment and vacuum pump.
  • Personal computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to EPA, State, and local municipality regulations for repair practices and disposal.
  • High level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and work ethic.
  • Diligence and strong understanding of liability issues and injury related to duties.
  • Ability to communicate, interact, and work effectively with all people.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and ability to follow safety rules.
  • Operating knowledge of typical office equipment.
  • Must have a safe and reliable vehicle capable of transporting tools, equipment, materials, and parts.
  • Must maintain a basic toolset and inventory them monthly.
  • Must report to work in a 24 Hour Fitness approved uniform.
  • Must be available for overtime work.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or other code that overlaps HVAC.
  • Ability to decipher and react to HVAC related blueprints and schematics.
  • Operating knowledge of multi-meters, computerized air quality meters, DD DDC controls and computer control systems.
