About the Role

Vanguard Auto Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to oversee financial operations, inventory management, and sales leadership within a high-volume dealership environment. This role is crucial for driving profitability and ensuring compliance while upholding the company's commitment to exceptional customer service and team support.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee department budgets, gross profits, and monthly financial statements to meet financial targets.
  • Manage the buying and selling of inventory through wholesale and auction channels.
  • Source vehicles, appraise trade-ins, and control reconditioning time and costs.
  • Implement audit controls for inventory management.
  • Set competitive retail pricing based on market trends, auction data, and vehicle condition.
  • Train, motivate, and lead the sales team, establishing clear performance quotas.
  • Ensure all paperwork complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with Volkswagen of America required standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in high-volume dealership management.
  • Extensive knowledge of managing preowned inventory.
  • Strong acquisition skills for sourcing inventory through auctions, the service lane, and trade-ins.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic presence throughout the sales workday.
  • Goal-oriented and friendly demeanor, particularly in negotiations.
  • Detail-oriented with sharp problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and computer capabilities.
  • Basic math capabilities.
  • Clean driving record with a valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles.
