About the Role
CoreWeave's Fleet Engineering organization is responsible for the entire lifecycle of servers in our cloud, from provisioning to repair. We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a full-stack team focused on building Go backend services and React/TypeScript frontends for products that automate hardware ticketing, guide technician repairs, and manage hardware and inventory data. This role involves owning product delivery, leading design reviews, and ensuring sound architectural tradeoffs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the team through hiring, onboarding, career development, and performance management.
- Own delivery end to end: gather and refine requirements, define scope, and set predictable release cadences.
- Drive reliability and performance through observability, on-call operations, incident response, runbook development, and automated remediation.
- Lead maintenance and enhancement of existing products, soliciting user feedback and prioritizing fixes.
- Scope and lead new product development to increase fleet management efficiency and scale.
- Set technical direction through design and architecture reviews, holding the bar on API contracts, data modeling, and frontend architecture.
- Partner with peer Fleet Engineering teams and operations leadership on shared APIs, sources of truth, and cross-team dependencies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 4+ years managing full-stack teams shipping and operating production web applications.
- Demonstrated track record delivering software products to defined stakeholders and users.
- Experience owning production web services end to end, including performance, availability, on-call, and incident response.
- Technical depth sufficient to lead design and architecture reviews and evaluate system design tradeoffs.
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and managing engineer performance.
- Strong process-oriented mindset and the ability to document, scale, and optimize complex workflows.
- Excellent cross-functional communicator, comfortable extending influence to non-engineering stakeholders and senior leadership.
- This position requires access to export controlled information and applicants must meet specific U.S. person or eligibility requirements.
