About the Role
Madison Health is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to provide armed direct and indirect interventions and patrols in a healthcare setting. This role involves communicating with various stakeholders to identify safety concerns, patrolling hospital grounds, and responding rapidly to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Routinely patrols all areas of the hospital facility and communicates any noticed discrepancies.
- Engages in confrontations when necessary, using empathy and assertiveness.
- Performs physical intervention using the minimum amount of force necessary to control a situation where the safety of others is at risk.
- Conducts initial investigations and reports on significant incidents.
- Serves as a primary responder for the hospital hazardous materials decontamination team.
- Assists other staff, patients, and visitors during emergency events.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in security or first responder roles preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- OPOTC Private Security Twenty (20) Hours Firearms Certification or Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Certificate required.
