About the Role
As a PMT Architect at CARIAD, you will shape the future of our engineering tool ecosystem, working at the intersection of technology, strategy, and governance to drive innovation and efficiency within CARIAD and the Volkswagen Group.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable AI solutions in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical enablement for teams, ensuring technical delivery capability and managing escalations for architecture or infrastructure issues.
- Take architectural responsibility for AI projects within the DDAI ART, coordinating and advancing the technical architecture across all relevant use cases.
- Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams, particularly on integrating GenAI components into existing system landscapes (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Databricks).
- Evaluate and manage GenAI use cases in close coordination with stakeholders at CARIAD and corporate partners.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a technology company, with an OEM, or in a management consultancy.
- Extensive practical experience in leading technical projects or teams in the IT or software development environment.
- In-depth technical understanding of GenAI, LLMs, and AI platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, HuggingFace, or comparable frameworks).
- Architectural understanding of complex AI landscapes, including data infrastructure (ETL/ELT, ML Ops, Data Lake).
- Practical experience in implementing AI use cases, from conception to productive integration.
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- High level of professionalism, initiative, resilience, and service orientation.
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
