About the Role
The Residential Coordinator is responsible for actively supervising residents, visitors, and guests, as well as the physical property at an assigned site. This role provides services ranging from resident intakes and customer service to administrative support, housekeeping, advocacy, and crisis intervention.
Responsibilities
- Actively supervise residents/visitors/guests behavior at assigned site.
- Conduct intake interviews to collect necessary information.
- Assist in orienting new participants to site logistics and provide a general site overview.
- Share information with other staff and outside service providers to ensure resident needs are met.
- Provide guidance and support to assist residents in meeting their basic needs.
- Serve as an advocate by making appropriate referrals to assist residents in reaching their goals.
- Monitor resident compliance with site/program rules and requirements daily.
- Stabilize crisis situations and reach out to other staff or community resources when necessary.
- Submit work orders and report identified maintenance issues.
- Conduct bed checks and room inspections as required.
- Conduct "on-foot" monitoring of building and grounds.
- Provide general administrative support, including answering telephones and managing office equipment.
- Document all daily activity in the log book and complete the Shift Change Report.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Assist in planning efforts to evaluate program effectiveness and identify needs.
- Complete and submit Incident Reports immediately as they occur.
- Maintain tenant/guest confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain front office and lobby neatness.
- Ensure property cleanliness and safety through constant monitoring.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties of the front office and lobby area.
- Monitor building systems, including security cameras and fire alarm.
- Maintain visitor sign in and sign out records accurately.
- Assist in kitchen and breakfast as needed.
- Provide emergency on-call coverage.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have basic reading, writing skills and computer skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
- Must be flexible and open minded to deal with unexpected situations.
- Must have compassion for helping others and sensitivity to special needs and diverse populations.
- Must be a responsible, non-judgmental individual.
- Must be able to think constructively and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must have a strong commitment to personal and professional ethics and standards.
- Must be able to set and maintain appropriate boundaries with program participants.
- Valid driver’s license a plus.
- Home and/or cellular telephone required.
- Must be able to climb multiple sets of stairs.
