About the Role

As a Delivery Driver, you will ensure the timely and safe transportation of goods, manage delivery routes efficiently, and maintain high standards of customer service and safety. This role involves physical tasks like lifting heavy items, operating box trucks and tractor trailers, and navigating routes accurately using maps and GPS. You will adapt to fast-paced environments and collaborate with team members to meet delivery schedules, contributing to supply chain operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Operate box trucks to deliver goods to designated locations across the Greater Toronto Area.
• Read and interpret maps and GPS devices to plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes.
• Load and unload heavy packages and materials safely, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
• Maintain reliable transportation by performing routine vehicle inspections and reporting any issues promptly.
• Stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment to meet tight delivery deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Canadian driver’s license appropriate for operating box trucks and tractor trailers.
• Proven experience in delivery driving or a similar role involving route delivery and vehicle operation.
• Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation tools effectively.
• Physical capability to lift and carry heavy weights safely and stand for long periods.
• Reliable personal transportation and a clean driving record.
